Liverpool: Police arrest two suspects in dead nine

Around two weeks after a nine-year-old girl was killed in Liverpool, police have tracked down two suspects.

A 34-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested early Sunday morning, Merseyside Police said.

He is suspected of murder and attempted murder.

Investigators also arrested a 41-year-old from Knowsley, near Liverpool.

He is said to have helped the attacker.

Girl was hit by a bullet in the chest

Nine-year-old Olivia was shot dead in her parents' home about two weeks ago.

A man had stormed into the house while fleeing from a pursuer.

This pursuer fired through the half-open door.

A bullet injured the mother's wrist and hit Olivia in the chest.

The child succumbed to his injuries.

The case had sparked national outrage.

Two previous suspects have been released.

Police are bemoaning a wall of silence, as they have been after other deadly crimes in Liverpool.

It is known that criminal gangs are very active in the city.

Among other things, it is about drugs and distribution struggles.
