Special Envoy to Venice
After the coup de force (the cannibals of
Bones and All
, the war city of
Athena
), the Lido pours into sentiment.
All kinds of feelings.
The beautiful ones, the good ones and the big ones.
Beautiful as in
The Children of Others
, the new film by Rebecca Zlotowski, with an excellent Virginie Efira and Roschdy Zem.
Efira plays Rachel, a forty-year-old teacher, childless and single before falling in love with Ali, designer and father of little Leila.
A story that could not be more banal and yet never treated in the cinema, or at least not in this way.
The mother-in-law rarely has the leading role, and even less the beautiful role.
Zlotowski portrays with great finesse a woman's attachment to the child of the man she loves.
The joys and the sufferings it arouses.
It will be released in theaters on September 21, we will talk about it very soon.
