(ANSA) - BEIJING, 05 SEPT - Beijing today accused the United States of having hit China with "tens of thousands of cyberattacks" over several years, "stealing large quantities of sensitive data", including from public research institutes and universities.
This was stated in a report by the Chinese specialized center (NationalComputer Virus Emergency Response Center, Cverc), which points its finger at the US intelligence agency NSA.
Washington has repeatedly accused China of cyberattacks against American companies and government agencies, and the accusation is one aspect of the serious deterioration in relations with China in recent years.
Beijing has always denied.
