Beijing today accused the United States of hitting China with
"tens of thousands of cyberattacks" over several years
, "stealing large amounts of sensitive data", including from public research institutes and universities.
This was stated in a report by the Chinese specialized center (National Computer Virus Emergency Response Center, Cverc), which points the finger at the US NSA, the National Security Agency, which deals with national security.
Over time, Washington has repeatedly accused China of cyberattacks against American companies and government agencies and the accusation is one of the aspects of the serious deterioration in relations with China in recent years.
Beijing has always denied.
