'Half of America Thinks We're Really Divorced'
The director of the feature film, OI Parker, wrote the roles of David and Georgia especially for the two stars: a divorced couple deciding to join forces to prevent his daughter from giving in to love at first sight.
To the point that he would have considered calling his characters Georgia and Julian for a time.
And the chemistry between the two actors, who shot together in
Ocean's Eleven
(2001),
Ocean's Twelve
(2004) and
Money Monster
(2016), would have worked again.
"People are aware of our friendship, and we use it to embody this divorced couple," said Julia Roberts.
Before joking: "Half of America probably thinks we're divorced in real life anyway."
