Commissioned by the Presidency of the Republic, the Ministry of Education honored today 105 outstanding students in the Basic Education Certificate for the 2021-2022 cycle, as part of a ceremony held at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts in Damascus.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbaa, delivered a speech in which he said: The city of Damascus is the capital of glory and pottery.. The city of Jasmine celebrates you today, excelling, successful, achieving the highest levels of pride, overcoming all difficulties, and proving that success and excellence are a feature of the Syrian youth, so you deserve to be honored.

Dr. Tabaa pointed to the importance of this honor, which the outstanding students waited patiently for, as well as the Ministry to honor those who achieved the full mark in basic education after their nine years of diligence to reach this stage in which they provided hard work and achieved building their basic theoretical and practical skills that allow them to walk a new path in secondary school.

Minister Tabbaa added: Your honor today is distinguished as usual, because it is an honor that brings the whole country to you.. Honoring you with it every year, the patroness of excellence, excellence and creativity, Mrs. Asma al-Assad.. I am pleased to convey her love and greetings to you, and she is the one who sponsors and supports excellence as part of her national and social role. I convey to you her appreciation and congratulations for achieving the full mark so that you will be loyal builders of this country and maintain your superiority in order to contribute to achieving the prosperity of our country, which is waiting for you all the best and giving.

He continued: “Among you will be creative, and some will excel, and among you will achieve their small and big dreams, but all of you will certainly strive to serve your country and elevate it with your knowledge and work so that it will be as you dream it to be.

Minister Tabbaa stated that it is the hope that the outstanding students carry that will dispel all the difficult confrontations that we live in, and the love in their hearts is the one that will put solutions to all their problems, and it is a test for them. The conditions necessary for their success and superiority despite all situations and to those who taught them and gave them the juice of his experience to be among the outstanding teachers and principals of their schools. They have all the appreciation and love because they are the messengers of science and knowledge.

Minister Tabbaa pointed to the great interest that the state attaches to education under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad, and the Ministry of Education’s endeavor within the state’s strategy to develop vocational education, as it is of great importance to improving the current reality and securing available job opportunities with excellent economic returns and at the level of the country’s capabilities in terms of service and productivity through education. Professionalism, as well as integrating technology with education, all within the policy of linking education to the labor market.

During the honoring ceremony, a film about the Excellence and Creativity Commission and the Syrian Scientific Olympiad, poetry passages presented by a Syrian heroine in the Arab Reading Challenge Sham Al-Bakour, and artistic and lyrical passages presented by the Ministry of Education's choir and orchestra led by Maestro Kamal Sekker were shown.

The educational family was also honored in the schools whose students achieved excellence, and the education directors.

At the end of the honoring ceremony, gifts were presented to the outstanding students by Mrs. Asma Al-Assad, in addition to a handwritten letter for each of them.

The honoring was attended by the Assistant Minister of Education, Dr. Abdul Hakim Al-Hammad, the Director of the Directorate of the Missing Martyrs and Wounded Major General Bassam Berri, the Director of the Schools for the Sons and Daughters of the Martyrs, Major General Lamis Rajab, and a number of heads of popular organizations and professional unions, education directors and principals of schools whose students excel, events and eligibility.
