British Prince Harry (37) and his wife Meghan (41) arrived in Düsseldorf on Tuesday afternoon and were greeted by cheering fans at City Hall.
The prominent guests walked the red carpet to the historic blue town hall door.
In his speech, Prince Harry thanked the city of Düsseldorf and the Bundeswehr for their willingness to host the Invictus Games 2023. He was "eternally grateful" for their great commitment.

The American, who has made it very rare in public since her departure from royal family, wore a white, ribbed, off-the-shoulder top and beige wide pants on Tuesday.
Harry was dressed in a classic gray suit – though he didn't wear a tie.
