(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 07 - The Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, will meet on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (Sco) summit, scheduled for September 15 to 16 in Samarkand , in Uzbekistan.
The Russian ambassador to Beijing, Andrey Denisov, made it known, according to Tass reports.
"We are planning a serious and comprehensive meeting of our leaders with a detailed agenda, on which we are working with our Chinese partners," the diplomat said.
It would be the first meeting in person between Putin and Xi since the start of the war in Ukraine.
