The Rings of Power: Who's Who?

The Amazon series "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" comes up with well-known characters but many new faces.

In the character guide you will learn all about the new elves, dwarves, humans and harfeet.

1/18Durin IV (Owain Arthur) is a Prince of Moria who had his heyday in the Second Age.

His ancestor Durin III was one of the dwarves who received a ring of power.

2/18Princess Disa (Sophia Nomvete) is the wife of Prince Durin IV and a strong leader.

She and her husband hold the key to the events of Khazad-Dûm, the city in the mines of Moria.

3/18Arondir (Ismael Cruz Cordova) is a character written especially for the series.

He is a Wood Elf and soldier assigned to watch over the people of the Southlands.

An outsider, he falls illegally in love with a human woman, Bronwyn.

4/18Bronwyn (Nazanin Boniadi) is also a new character.

She is a healer from the Southlands and a single mother.

Her son Theo is adamant that she is dating Arondir.

5 / 18Theo (Tyroe Muhafidin) is Bronwyn's only son who grew up under Elven supervision.

The elves consider his people to be evil, which is why his sympathies for the elven people are limited.

6 / 18halbrand (Charlie Vickers), a lowling, is shipwrecked along with Galadriel.

Through this near-death experience, the two are connected.

7 / 18Poppy Proudfellow (Megan Richards, left) and Elanor "Nori" Brandyfoot (Markella Kavenagh, right) are harfeet and best friends.

The Harfuss, a nomadic people, are believed to be the ancestors of the homely hobbits.

He is a way finder and a sage.

Although the country is rich, not everyone stands behind their decisions.

10/18Pharazôn (Trystan Gravelle) is Míriel's cousin and one of her most trusted advisers.

Both try to ensure that their kingdom stays at peace as factions form within the kingdom.

As a brave Elven warrior, she is strong-willed, but still far from the strength of the older Galadriel we know from the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

13 / 18Elrond (Robert Aramayo), a half-elf, chose immortality when faced with the choice between eternal life and human existence.

He will later rule Rivendell.

Aragorn is the heir to Isildur as king of Gondor.

Isildur will defeat Sauron at the end of the Second Age.

18 / 18Mr Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards) is a gifted blacksmith.

He is manipulated by Sauron into forging the three rings of power that are given to the Elves.

He is also Elven Lord of Eregion.
