(ANSA) - MOSCOW, 08 SEPT - "The European Union closes its cage from within and continues to isolate itself from Russia and the rest of the world".
This was stated by the spokeswoman for the Moscow Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in reaction to the decision announced by the Baltic countries and Poland to close their borders to Russian tourists starting from 19 September.
According to the spokesperson, the decision "has no legal basis" and "violates the principles of freedom of movement that are provided for in the fundamental documents of the OSCE".
