Several cheese products at Lidl, Edeka and Aldi are currently being recalled.

There could be metallic foreign objects in it.

Kehl - Whether with wine, on a roll or melted on the pizza - for many cheese is simply part of it.

The large number of varieties does not make it easy to choose in the supermarket.

However, consumers should now take a closer look when buying dairy products.

Several cheese products are affected by a recall.

Lactalis Deutschland GmbH informed about the recall of seven goat cheese products produced by Société Fromagère de Riblaire (France).

In a statement on Saturday (September 10), the manufacturer warned of metallic foreign bodies.

The products were sold at Lidl, Edeka and Aldi, among others.

Cheese recall at Aldi, Lidl and Edeka: Products in circulation since the end of August

According to the company, the products have been in circulation since the end of August.

The different cheese items are said to have been sold at Lidl, Pierre Meyer, Edeka and Aldi Süd, among others.

The items affected by the recall have now been removed from the range and sales have stopped.

Anyone who has already bought one of the cheeses mentioned is asked not to eat it and to dispose of the food.

The product can also be returned to an appropriate supermarket branch, the manufacturer informed.

The purchase price will be refunded, even without a receipt.

Caution: It is better not to reheat these foods

Cheese recall: This can happen with foreign bodies in food

Sharp-edged foreign objects in food, such as metal parts, can lead to serious injuries.

When consumed, there is a risk of injuries in the mouth and throat as well as internal bleeding.

Consumers should therefore no longer eat the product affected by the recall.

"If internal injuries are suspected, consumers are asked to consult their doctor immediately and advise them to eat the contaminated product," the company warned.

A popular meat product at Edeka is also being recalled.

It cannot be ruled out that there are plastic parts in it.
