Dogs have a fine sense of smell.

Police dog Quincy proves how good this can be during an operation.

His find: a secret weapons cache.

Police dog Quincy can always rely on his super nose.

On the side of the Queensland Police, he reliably sniffs out secret hiding places.

His specialty: drugs and guns.

Quincy probably deserved an extra reward for his recent assignment in Mareeba, Australia.

Because the huge arms depot under the hay was actually not part of the ongoing investigation.

The focus of the investigation is actually an alleged kidnapping with bodily harm.

The Queensland Police reports on their website.

The officials therefore have a search warrant for the property in Arriga, Australia, a rural town of Mareeba.

Also present is the dog Quincy, who "accidentally" uncovers something completely different.

But from the beginning.

Police dog Ruby has saved many lives and is getting a Netflix movie.

According to police, a 28-year-old local man is making his way to a property in Arriga, a rural town of Mareeba.

There he wants to meet a 27-year-old friend.

Arriving at the house, however, he meets two men armed with guns.

They force the 28-year-old Australian into a car, tie him up and shoot him in the head.

Before the men release their victim and make off, they pocket his wallet and wreck his vehicle.

To treat his wounds, the 28-year-old then drives to the hospital and alerts the police.

Some time later, they take the two men into custody at the property.

Meanwhile, police dog Quincy is hot on the trail.

Under a haystack, the four-legged friend senses a hiding place that nobody suspects.

And indeed: 27 guns are slumbering under the ground.

But that's not all the Super Nose has tracked down.

A lot of ammunition, jewellery, cannabis and narcotics are also stored in the secret bunker.

The two men will soon have to answer for their crimes in court.

Dog Quincy, on the other hand, has a big reward.
