Damascus-SANA
The Ministry of Education allowed students who were late to register in the first year of vocational secondary school to register according to the screening grades and the available vacancies, provided that this did not affect the students’ acceptance.
The ministry stated, in a statement that SANA received a copy of today, that the instructions for enrollment and admission to the first secondary grade of vocational secondary schools for the academic year 2022-2023 stipulate that “the student who did not apply for differentiation within the specified period and after the results of the screening were issued loses his right to register in the computer, electrical and electronic professions. Whatever the total of his grades in the certificate of basic education, his registration is limited to the rest of the professions and branches of vocational education.” However, it was agreed to fold the mentioned paragraph so that students who are late in registering in the first vocational secondary grade are allowed to register according to the screening grades and available vacancies, provided that it does not affect the acceptance of students.
In another statement, the ministry requested from the Directorate of Education in Damascus governorate to make a settlement for students admitted to the first grade of commercial vocational secondary school for the academic year 2022-2023 to be according to their places of residence and regardless of the total grades according to the possibilities available to them without prejudice to students accepted in industrial or women's education. In order to reduce the financial burden on students.
