After the summer holidays, even if the weather announces the arrival of new torrid days of heat, almost all of Italy begins - the calendars are decided by the Regions - the new school year, which will start on Monday in 7 territories:

Abruzzo, Basilicata, Friuli -Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Piedmont, Veneto and in the Province of Trento;

it has already started on 5 September, in the Province of Bolzano alone and will see children and young people in Campania return to school on 13 September.

Then, to follow, on September 14, the lessons will start in Calabria, Liguria, Marche, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia, Umbria.

On the 15th, however, they will start in Emilia-Romagna, Lazio and Tuscany.

In line, on 19 September, Sicily and Valle d'Aosta.

The novelty of this year is that everyone returns to class without distancing, without additional Covid personnel, without masks, without Dad.

For classroom ventilation it is recommended to open the windows and change the air frequently.

Go ahead for trips too.

But if the health picture worsens, schools must be "prepared and ready" to put the measures taken over the past three years back on their feet.

However, students are already very critical of returning to class, which they define as "complicated and chaotic".

"Little clarity comes from the ministry - they say - about Covid measures for yet another year, within a school and university system in which he has not invested".

And they complain about the fact that "In this electoral campaign there is little and bad talk of school, university and young people, and once again without asking what we think".

For this, Rete degli Studenti Medio and Unione degli Universitari have written a manifesto with 100 proposals launched with a flash mob at the Ministry of Education and in front of more than 50 schools on the occasion of the return to school.

From tomorrow over 7 million students back to school

To enter the classroom will be 7,286,151 female students and students for a total of 366,310 classes in state schools.

Last year there were and 7,407,000 students (277,840 with disabilities) and 368,656 classrooms.

The 2020/21 school year started with 7,507,000 students (268,700 with disabilities) and 369,000 classes.

In two years, more than 220 thousand students and 3 thousand classes have been lost, while pupils with disabilities have grown by almost 22 thousand units, thus recording an increase of 8%.

The so-called chicken coop classes 'resist' only to the high schools: in the lower orders the demographic decline and therefore the school attendance is impressive.

The Anief union estimates that 800,000 pupils have been lost in 15 years.

Thanks to the expensive energy, the school year that starts tomorrow will also be marked by increases

.

Codacons has estimated that for notebooks, diaries, cases, diaries, and all school-related material, the average price increases are + 7% for the production costs for companies in the sector determined by the cost of energy and the crisis. of the subjects.

Also for the National Consumers Union, the increases are 7.3%.

Minister Patrizio Bianchi, the unions and the parties, however, assure that the expensive energy will not have repercussions on the progress of the school year, which must be in the presence and without days in Dad to save on radiators.

They all agree on this point.
