But after flowering, many cyclamen or cyclamen find their way into the organic waste bin in spring because they die.

When it gets nice and cozy in our living rooms towards winter, cyclamen quickly get too warm feet.
According to Mein schöner Garten
, the original forest dwellers prefer
cooler temperatures of around 16 degrees Celsius.
So when the cute houseplants let their flower heads droop, it's high time to put them in a cooler place, otherwise they will die.
The bedroom or stairwell are suitable as long as there is no draft and the sun is not too strong.
Cyclamen Care Mistake #2: Only keep indoors
Torsten Kühne from the MDR Garden
recommends that anyone who would like to have some of the small mountain flowers for longer should treat them to a break in the fresh air in spring
.
To do this, half of the pot with the plant is buried in the ground after the last frost, where it will take care of itself in summer.
It is best to choose a semi-shady location where the flower is left alone until August, with the exception of a few waterings.
From then on, fertilizer is applied again and in September the cyclamen can go back into the house, where it will hopefully begin to bloom.

Cyclamen Care Mistake #3: Waterlogging
As
Haus.de
explains, the right watering technique is crucial for a long cyclamen life.
The plant should always be kept slightly moist.
Like so many other indoor plants, cyclamen is best poured from below over the saucer with low-lime water and you should definitely avoid waterlogging, otherwise the roots will quickly rot and die.
If you treat the plant well, it can live up to 20 years.
