HBO's acclaimed drama series "Heirs" is the big winner at the 74th Emmy Awards ceremony that took place tonight (Tuesday) in Los Angeles and included almost all repeat and expected wins.

"Heirs" won a total of four Emmy Awards at the 2022 Emmys, including the most prestigious award for Best Drama Series, after winning the same coveted statuette for its previous season as well.

The series unfolds the events of the family of a formidable media tycoon and the struggle of the heirs between his children over who will get to lead the economic family empire when he is gone.

"Ted Lasso" by Apple TV Plus, about the plots of an American football coach in an English football team, repeated the achievement from last year and won for the second time in a row the award for the best comedy series, in addition to repeated wins for the main actor Jason Sudeikis and supporting actor Brett Goldstein.

Jean Smart also won the award for the lead actress in a comedy series for "Hacks" for the second year in a row and at the end of her speech she said "I lost in the intervention" before thanking a friend for the botox he arranged for her.

"Euphoria" star Zendaya, 26, won her second Emmy for lead actress in a drama series and made history as the youngest winner in the category's history to win the honor twice.

"My biggest wish was that Euphoria could help and heal people and for anyone who loved the character Ro, or feels like her, I want you to know that I am grateful for your stories and will continue to carry them and Ro with me," said Zendaya, who also serves as executive producer on the series.

Korea's "Squid Game" star Lee Jung-ja won the award for lead actor in a drama series for his performance in the hit Netflix series, which picked up four wins at last week's preliminary ceremony in the technical categories.

Julia Garner, who was also nominated this year for her performance in "Inventing Anna", won for the third time the award for supporting actress in a drama for "Ozark".

Another big winner at the ceremony was HBO's "The White Lotus" with five wins, including for best miniseries and supporting actors Jennifer Coolidge and Murray Bartlett.

The plot of the anthology series, which will air its second season next month, takes place in a luxury hotel around the various and unusual guests and was created by screenwriter Mike White, who previously competed in the reality show "Survival".

Michael Keaton won the award for lead actor in a miniseries for "Dupsis" and Amanda Seyfried won the award for lead actress in a miniseries for "The Rise and Fall of Elizabeth Holmes."

Singer Lizo won the reality competition show for Lizo's Big Girls, in which she searched for dancers for her tour, essentially breaking RuPaul's Drag Race's winning streak of the previous four years.

"Last Week with John Oliver" won the award for the talk show for the seventh time in a row and "Saturday Night Live" won the award for the sketch program again, on the eve of the opening of the 48th season in three weeks.
