New mobilization against the high cost of living.
This Tuesday, workers in the energy sector are called to strike by the FNME-CGT, in order to protest against the high cost of living and to demand massive wage increases.
This day of action, which comes a few weeks before an interprofessional call for a strike supported by several centrals for September 29, aims to warn against the growing burden of inflation for workers in the sector.

Tuesday's mobilization also aims to put pressure on employers, who must start negotiations in the branch on the same day.
The FNME-CGT, the CFE-CGC Énergies, the CFDT Chimie-Energie and FO Énergie et Mines must in fact address with employers the question of an increase in the basic national salary, deemed too low, while the cost of life keeps growing.
Several union representatives nevertheless assured AFP that the actions should remain circumscribed.
Federal Secretary of the FNME-CGT, Fabrice Coudour did not foresee “
hard action
”.
Gas employees could go further, while this sector is particularly under tension this winter: "
punch actions
" could be noted, according to the head of the sector at the FNME-CGT, Frédéric Ben.
However, they should not go as far as cuts: "

", indicated the union official to the press agency.
Other mobilizations are also planned in this sector in the coming weeks: at TotalEnergies, the CGT, again, is calling on the employees of the group and its subsidiaries to a national strike at the end of the month, to obtain "
compensation of inflation
”.
The union is calling for a 10% wage increase "
to take into account the necessary catch-up in 2021
