When we meet young Alicent Hightower at the beginning of the House of the Dragon series, she is the daughter of the closest royal advisor and Princess Rhaenyra's best friend.

But after the now fourth episode, things look a little different.

She is the second wife of King Viserys and not much remains of the former friendship with her now stepdaughter.

Actress Emily Carey is not a blank slate in Hollywood.

The 19-year-old began her career with a recurring role as Mary Conan Doyle in the US-British co-production Houdini & Doyle.

In 2017, she took on the role of the 12-year-old version of Diana in the blockbuster Wonder Woman.

The adult version of the main character was played by Gal Gadot.

But that's not the only high-profile production starring Emily Carey as the younger version of a superstar.
