"Traitor": an unfulfilled promise Israel today

Sometimes in life there are things that progress slowly, even very slowly, and you have to accept that.

Be patient and wait.

Good things need time to brew, to grow - and this is certainly true of TV series.

"Traitor" is an example of a series that progresses at a slow pace, but really slow.

She reveals details of information greedily - and thus slowly builds the tension and drama.

I want to say, the debut episode does not explain the whole story, does not introduce a distinct traitor, nor does it deepen the characterization of the characters.

However, the episode does sprinkle hints upon hints, marking suspects and generating tension.

Lots of tension.

One that leaves the viewer confused, but captivated.

"Traitor" is an invested HOT production, created by Ron Leshem and Amit Cohen and directed by Assaf Polonsky.

The first episode, which has been available since yesterday on VOD, describes the disappearance of a plane that took off from Tbilisi to India along with all its passengers. Lior Ashkenazi plays a retired Shin Bet officer, who lost his sight during an operational activity and has now been called to assist in the investigation, as his wife and children are also among the missing.

The commander of the operation, Orna Banai, attaches the intern Oz Zahavi to Ashkenazi, and together they will try to crack the affair and the secrets hidden by the passengers of the lost flight.

The slow unfolding of the story, the scattering of misleading clues, the flooding of wrong theories - all are well-known tricks of the genre in order to intensify the mystery, and "Traitor" uses all of them to magnetize viewers to it.

At the same time, in order to really rise, it needs powerful and mysterious characters with shocking secrets at the forefront of the plot, and in this direction a lack is felt for the time being.

By revealing the secrets of the other characters, the heroes will try to decipher with the viewers the mysterious disappearance of the flight.

The truth is, there are many ways to crack airplane disappearances (like in the "Manifest" or "Lost" series), but very few of them are reliable and dramatic.

Will "Traitor" be able to successfully assemble all the pieces of her puzzle?

The answer will be received little by little.
