38-year-old Martha Kelly paid about 15 additional dollars to the Lowcost Rainier company, for a seat with a window on a flight from Warsaw to Malta, where she flew for a short vacation with her husband after finishing a business trip.

After taking her seat, all she could do was giggle at what she got for her money: a seat near the emergency exit, with a tiny window and no view.

Wales Online reports that Martha, who lives in Ireland, took to Twitter to share her story, noting that the window was too small to comfortably look out of during the flight on September 10.

The things she wrote were written in a joking spirit, and the caption that accompanied the photo she uploaded stated: "I paid for the window seat."

"I'm still laughing at the commotion it caused"

Amusingly enough, the airline rep replied with her own humor and attached her original photo, with a circle marked around the tiny porthole.

As if to indicate that indeed the passenger got a seat with a window.

Marta responded and wrote: "Don't get me wrong, I loved the big legroom. It was too funny to 'slip' it. I love their marketing team and their sense of humour. I like to joke around and hoped they would take it in stride - and they did . I'm still laughing at the commotion it caused."

As of now, Rainier's response to Martha's "complaint" has received over half a million likes, and over 6,000 comments.

Not all of them were as sympathetic as Martha's reaction.

One surfer wrote: "This is the reason I will never fly with Rainier again", and another added: It seems that complaints of this type, about such window seats, repeat themselves a lot.

...

Maybe you just don't charge extra for a seat with a window like that?

And maybe it's even better for you not to respond at all than to respond in such a smug and disparaging manner."
