Booked a villa in the north for NIS 6,000, and received pigeon droppings that caused facial wounds

A family that paid thousands of shekels for a night in a villa in Safed, received a dirty compound with a liquid jacuzzi and a pool with feathers and pigeon excrement, which probably caused everyone acute ear infections and one girl also suffered facial wounds.

The owner of the villa offered a small compensation, and only after contacting Voila!

Tourism won the family

Here is the winning proof that money does not buy happiness.

One family from the settlement of Shilo in Samaria decided to "go wild" and book a villa in Safed for NIS 6,000 per night called

"La Perla"

.

"Without a doubt, this is a crazy price even for a family that comes for such a vacation with a complete composition of mother and father and 9 other children, but the pictures were wonderful, and it seemed that our vacation after very hard work during the summer would be more enjoyable than usual," says S., the father of the family, Wow!

"A pool, a jacuzzi in front of summer and congestion, everything joined the logic that maybe it justifies. Even though we weren't looking for luxury, we decided to close."

The family made a telephone order, paid by bank transfer before arrival and left for the North with high expectations, certainly based on the amount they paid.

"The B&B in question is a B&B that appears in the photos to be of a very high standard, but in reality was a very serious disappointment," he says and apologizes for preferring his name not be published: "I'm ashamed that I even paid such an amount."

Their nightmare began as soon as they arrived at the scene.

"Our eyes really went dark," recalls S., "the bottom of the pool was filthy, with feathers all around; the jacuzzi didn't work, the electricity was exposed, and it had a leak from the bottom so that to fill it, it was necessary to pour water regularly; the complex was very dirty and the place It was full of mold, including the showers."

"Enough, the feeling of disgust, but then we started to feel earaches"

Leaving was not really a realistic option: "When we asked to leave the place immediately in light of this, they told us that was not an option, so we stayed," continues Sh. The second, all the children began to complain of earaches. When we sought medical attention, we learned that they all had ear infections that developed as a result of an infection. One of the girls developed an infectious wound on her face, and we estimate that it was the result of pigeon feces that we were exposed to in large quantities everywhere in the lodge."

S. says that after a few words on their part, the CEO of the company came back to them and said that everything would be sorted out and they would receive compensation. "We asked to leave and receive full credit."

He convinced us to stay and that we would talk in the morning," he explains. "In the morning he said that we would be awarded 2,000 shekels and in any case if we leave we will not be awarded.

He asked for account details and said that he would transfer the money only after leaving, and reiterated that first we must sign that we have no complaints against them and only then is it spread.

We didn't sign of course.

" "Unfortunately, the company that operates the Zimmer disclaims responsibility and offers us a small amount of compensation for the suffering and heartache we went through.

It also turned out that the company we were in contact with only operates villas and guesthouses and they did not agree to connect us to the owners of the house.

You don't exactly accept it, but that's how it works there," says S. and adds that he "tries to be as precise as possible and above all not to act out of revenge.

On the other hand, the crazy price we paid and the children's ear infections and the girl's rash need treatment.

Recommendations alongside extremely harsh reviews

A search on the web shows that various websites have, on the one hand, warm recommendations about "a great place" and "I highly recommend", writes one, and also "the villa was well equipped. In the yard there is a heated pool, jacuzzi, snooker, sauna and barbecue area. The rooms are spacious And most importantly, the place is shiny with a good smell like at home."

Another one summarizing in a similar way wrote, "Highly recommended", "The place is maintained and clean, beautiful and the villa is even more stunning than the pictures".

It is of course difficult to know how authentic these reviews are.

In the same vein, some posted online, even long before Sesh and his family arrived at the place, completely opposite things, such as "There was a problem with pigeons in the place, we could not use the outdoor complex and the pool, which was all full of pigeon excrement. We could not sleep because of the noise, we could not open the windows in the rooms because that the nets were torn. There are bees in the compound. The maintenance in the kitchen is not good, the cupboards are broken and there is no equipment."

And also: "I expected that we would arrive at a luxurious and luxurious villa and we arrived at an old and tired villa, peeling walls and old rooms, leaky faucets and an old kitchen," writes one Yulia in a review from a year ago, "the villa must undergo a thorough renovation. We paid a lot and I didn't feel it justified it. As soon as you renovate, I would be happy To go back and change my feedback to five stars (so originally, Ya). In the current situation, I will not return."

"It's just shocking not to get closer!!! It's not like what you see in the pictures, everything is dirty to a dangerous level, there is mold on the walls, everything is dusty as if the place hasn't been cleaned in years, the showers are stale and the kitchen is broken and excessively dirty, everything is sticky, the faucets are broken - just not appropriate!!! There was a leak From the wall that flooded our entire room, we didn't get an answer from the owner of the place - just eye work and a big disappointment!!"

"The place needs immediate renovation, broken faucets, an inappropriate shower. In short, not recommended for the price we paid," writes Ahad Moshe a year ago.

One of them also wrote a year ago, "The connection between the photos and reality is accidental. Poor maintenance, old objects and broken furniture and full of safety failures."

"V Club" response: "The guest is welcome to contact and indicate his dissatisfaction"

S. strikes for the sin of not checking the Internet before closing with "La Perla Tsafet" (there are B&Bs with the same name in other places as well, they are not related to this article).

And anyway, he wants his money back.

"La Perla Tsafet" response:

"Every guest who comes to one of our villas and is not satisfied for any reason, receives attention and it was the same in this case," says in response Yair Ariel, CEO of "V Club" which presents itself as "the leading chain of villas and B&Bs in Israel" and has been operating this villa since October last year, and adds, "He was offered 2,000 shekels in compensation for dissatisfaction for any reason.

After the compensation, no further appeal was made that the compensation did not please the client and certainly if there was a medical case accompanying the matter which I have no way to check.

This guest like every guest has the company email address and the phone number of the reservation center,

And the guest is invited to contact and indicate his dissatisfaction with the compensation given to him and he will receive immediate attention.

In the hope that she will indeed want him."

After contacting Voila!

Tourism to the executive director of "V Club", it was decided to credit S. with the amount of one night out of two he paid - NIS 6,000 - in exchange for a disclaimer and disposal that he or his family have no further or future claims. It's a shame that only after contacting Walla! Tourism, was it decided to compensate the customer As it should, and not ahead of time.
