Production of White Chocolate Pistachio Crunch Snowflakes at the Nestlé factory (PR)

You will have to believe us when we say that this is not an easy job, not easy at all.

To try all the new products that come out to the Israeli market (and sometimes outside of it as well), to taste in front of everyone, deliveries and more deliveries, paper bags that accumulate in the office (and at home), a never-ending feeling of satiety.

Seriously, it's harder than it looks, and no one is paying you to go to the gym, or compensating you for the FOMO that quickly develops in your mind.

For all the articles in the "New on the Shelf"

section, however, the "New on the Shelf" section, about its tasters, curious and loyal consumers, has started again.

And this time - a two-headed Beasley monster, a magnificent delay in landing and also a European-Israeli fusion.

Yes, we are very eclectic.

Ice Knodel, Stefan

Stepan Macher's cool Tel Aviv center has leveraged the continuous rise in temperatures into a desirable summer pop-up, fusing together a reality food obsession on our part, and a focused longing for an Austrian dumpling on his part.

The star of this festival is the ice knodel, a happy September version in the form of a handmade ice cream dumpling, filled and coated and sweet, which reminds a little of the doughy gramknodel, then makes a kind of cool and surprising turn on the tongue.

Stephan's crispy-melting dumpling menu offers "Ice Merlin Knodel" (apricot puree core, Sempardo Chantilly vanilla, coated with hazelnuts) classic and sweet to a European degree, "Mozart Knodel" (amaretto puree, Sempardo Chantilly vanilla, chocolate coated) with a delicate marzipan appeal But deep, "Ice Kinder Knodel" (apple rice, vanilla semifreddo, coated with milk chocolate) which is intended for children but is also seized by adults, as well as pistachio, pina colada and black forest versions.

Price: NIS 28 per unit.

In four words: next to the strudel,

More in Walla!

Generous, but tasty?

Beasley Hamburger and Beasley Cheesy Sticks, Barn

Beasley Hamburger and Beasley Cheesy Sticks by Assem (Photo: Assem)

The ongoing summer and the long holiday that somehow ended prompted Esem to launch a two-headed Beasley monster, with "powerful flavors, special shapes and a particularly crunchy texture."

It is, in fact, a Bisley Hamburger and a cheese-flavored Bisley Sticks.

The first is in the form of, well, a patty that has just gone down from normal and with a taste that may not be a hamburger but is definitely addictive, and the second is in the form of cheese sticks, with a certain cheesy appeal and a bag that also remains empty after too little time.

In two words: restraint has been abolished.

Kinder Cards, Ferrero

Kinder Cards by Ferrero (Photo: Ferrero)

Ferrero's popular chocolate brand is landing in Israel - so noticeably late that the fashionable made a comeback - Kinder Cards.

The product, which will be marketed in an individual configuration (two "cards") or in a sleeve of five units (ten "cards"), is of course a double-layered waffle cookie, with milk cream and cocoa in between.

It is resistant and stable to any dessert manipulation, maintains an excellent crispness, and in between provides Kinder's well-known chocolaty.

In six words: we waited almost five years, we can attack.

White chocolate, hazelnuts and chocolate coins, Elite

The chocolate giant is slowly recovering, launching a new series of chocolate coins, as well as a needed boost to a popular nostalgic collection.

Let's start with coins, aimed at both home and professional baking audiences, with three flavors (bitter 72%, milk and white), and offered in 400 gram packages.

The stated intention was to make one of the most useful products in confectionery accessible and to introduce it into the home kitchen, and the execution lives up to it, with coins that melt uniformly, remain relatively shiny and were upgraded by us with an exaggerated brownie, and no less exaggerated cookies.

Alongside them, Elit returned its hazelnut chocolate to the shelf, and added a pale-white version to the milky and bitter flavors.

The series is marketed as a trio and contains all three flavors, and is currently produced in France, but the taste is familiar and completely Israeli, with whole hazelnuts and a fun crunch.

In two words: the comeback has begun.

Tahini, turquoise

The so-Israeli and so-emotional market has recently been renewed with a colorful competitor, in campaigns and design, that aims high and prices relatively low.

The tahini, which is made from sesame seeds sourced from the harshness of Ethiopia, was measured against the home favorite and provided a decent fight.

The mixing is reasonable, the resulting texture is very smooth and very pleasant, and the taste is bitter and successful, even in the cruelest test of all - tahini, water - and that's it.

In four words: there is room on the shelf.

A small meal, Tnuva

The Israeli food giant is expanding its refrigerated shelves and adding two new additions to its successful series.

These are personal packages (150 grams in total), for snacking and as a snack, of "Labna Eslit" and "Piraeus Tziziki" - both with five crackers (we counted).

The thick labneh (9%, about 12 grams of protein) was wiped and spread and required nothing but salt, while the tzatziki (7.6 grams of protein) provided an even more successful sour-shumi kick.

Price: NIS 7.20-9.90.

In five words: on the road, and also beyond it.

Tropical drinks, Primor

The successful beverage company welcomed the summer with a limited edition of drinks with tropical flavors, in the form of lemon-pineapple and lemon-passion.

Price: NIS 8.90 for a 400 ml bottle. The

bottles were opened at the height of another debilitating heat wave, and immediately went to do the job they came for. Namely, to provide a necessary chill when all seemed lost. The lemon passion fruit version was great As IS, sour and not sweet Too much, while the pineapple-lemon duet mixed cheerfully with alcohol, and managed to lift even more.

In two words: a tropical storm.

Candies with vitamins, Pick'a Fruit

Ahadot Company launches soft candies with added vitamins, under the Pick'a Fruit brand.

The candies contain about 50% fruit, B and E vitamins, beta carotene, iodine and biotin, and no food coloring or preservatives.

For now, they offer four flavors - strawberry, apple, peach and mango-passion - in 120 gram packages (NIS 10-12 per bag), and provide good sweetness that is not overpowering, a relatively pleasant texture and an easy upgrade to a category that needs upgrades.

In three words: a taste of more.
