(ANSA) - MILAN, SEPTEMBER 15 - He fell ill while he was climbing the 40 steps that lead to the civic hall of the Municipality of Villanuova sul Clisi, in Bresciano, and died at the age of 13 in school, on the morning of 11 April 2014. The public ministry yesterday he asked for 8 months for the teacher who had the responsibility of Alessio Quaini, suffering from heart disease.
For the prosecutor's consultant and for the doctors who had cared for him and who had implanted a defibrillator, that effort had been an insurmountable obstacle.
It will now be necessary to wait until 28 September to find out if, according to the court, there are culpable responsibilities for Alessio's death.
The defense highlighted that Alessio's defibrillator was not examined, which could have revealed the arrhythmia or less with certainty.
For the prosecutor, the teacher knew about the disease and she didn't have to make the boy make that effort.
The implication is that there was no medical certification brought to school and that only a few months earlier the boy had been to the Vittoriale, where there are no shortage of stairs.
But always according to the prosecutor the teacher should be vigilant.
The defense asked for acquittal because the fact does not exist.
