Have you eliminated bread from your diet with every diet so far?

A bread made of oatmeal, skyr and egg is diet-friendly, filling and also cheap.

Anyone who weighs a few pounds too much often goes through the daily dishes and pasta and bread in particular are quickly discarded - too many carbohydrates, too many calories.

Breads in particular are variable, can be topped up again and again and thus bring variety to the menu.

Instead of cutting out bread, you should rather choose varieties that fill you up for a long time, like this quick oatmeal bread.

With just a few inexpensive ingredients, you can conjure up this bread in no time at all, because unlike bread made from yeast dough or sourdough, it doesn't have to take a long time.

Oatmeal bread keeps you full for a long time and is easy and inexpensive to bake at home.

Losing weight with oatmeal bread: these ingredients will fill you up

The oatmeal bread contains several ingredients that will keep you full for a long time and thus avoid constant snacking and cravings.

The skyr is an important source of protein and, together with the whole grain oat flakes, keeps you full for a long time.

Low-fat quark and yoghurt also have this effect.

The bread also provides you with valuable dietary fiber, vitamins and minerals.

When you eat this oatmeal bread, your blood sugar level does not shoot up as quickly as it would with a mixed bread or even white bread.

Oatmeal bread to lose weight: You need these ingredients

  • 500 g skyr (alternatively: low-fat quark or yoghurt)

  • 250 g pithy oat flakes

  • 250 g tender oat flakes

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 3 eggs, size M

  • 2 packs of baking powder

  • 1 apple or 1 large carrot

How to bake the oatmeal bread to lose weight

  • Preheat your oven to 200 degrees top/bottom heat.

  • Peel and grate the apple or carrot.

  • Crack three eggs and mix with a whisk.

  • Thoroughly stir the skyr and apple into the eggs.

  • Now mix the crunchy and the tender rolled oats, the two sachets of baking powder and the teaspoon of salt in a bowl and add the mixture to the wet ingredients.

  • Knead everything into a dough.

Be careful, this dough is very sticky.

  • Line a loaf tin with baking paper, fill in the dough and let it rest for about 10 minutes.

Tip: You can sprinkle the dough with linseed, chia seeds or sunflower seeds.

  • Then bake the bread for about 45 minutes, depending on the oven power.

  • Attention: The bread comes out of the oven quite compact, it does not rise as you know from conventional bread.

This consistency also fills you up.

The oatmeal bread tastes great with any type of topping, whether you prefer sweet or savory.

It also tastes great toasted or grilled - then best with a salty butter or herb butter.

It is best to keep the oatmeal bread in a plastic bag in the refrigerator.

It keeps for about a week and gives you a filling snack full of good ingredients every day.
