Is the child still crying at the entrance to kindergarten? This will make acclimatization easier for him Israel today

The welcome return to educational frameworks is not easy for everyone, especially for kindergarten children who have to deal with a multitude of changes during the holidays • We have collected for you some tips that will make it easier for them, and for you, during this difficult time • And most importantly - good luck!

The return to school has calmed many parents, but not everyone in the kindergartens has yet been able to adapt to the environment they returned to or entered for the first time.

In order to ease the difficulties of absorption that some children experience, we spoke with preschool expert Shlomit Shuster, who gave some tips that will help them.

The first thing to remember is that the children's adaptation to the frameworks is a process that may not be short, and certainly not easy.

According to Schuster, during the adjustment period, you should not add additional changes and transitions, since it is difficult for children even that way, so it is not advisable during this period to start saying goodbye to diapers or pacifiers, if you have not already done so.

"Keep the routine - the routine is a permanent anchor that gives security, especially on days like this, because it will be the safe refuge in all the uncertainty around," she adds.

Shuster also recommends minimizing long trips and extended vacations, because such disconnection may burden the children.

And what do you do if parting at the entrance to the kindergarten is difficult?

This is a stage that may last a long time, Schuster says, even years - but it's important to remember that crying can quickly be replaced by joy from the interest in kindergarten.

Don't be scared of it, it's natural.

Shuster also says that the beginning of the day in the garden is usually busy and full of different stimuli, so it is not necessary to add additional attractions such as a park or a pool to that day.

Regarding the class, it is a process that requires adaptation that revives emotional appeals - therefore it is recommended to wait with the classes after the holidays.

Don't worry, it gets better

The end of the day has come and you came to pick up the children?

It is not yet the stage where a babysitter or even a grandparent will be able to contain the emotional load of a busy day at kindergarten, so you were the ones to take them out of kindergarten.

Did you want to hear how the children's day went?

After you get a very simple answer (for example "fun" is short and to the point), it is likely that now the conversation will be broader.

Shuster also says that compared to the first days of the month, the kindergartener will have more requests these days, and this is the perfect time to share with her and get to know the child better.

And this is the most important tip: take your time.

If more than a few consecutive weeks go by in which no improvement is evident and you do not notice the beginning of integration, maybe you should look for another garden.
