Sunrise Avenue say goodbye to Munich: the band around Samu Haber plays two evenings in the Olympiahalle.

Here is our criticism of the first final day of the Finns:

It all starts with the end and a thank you.

But somehow it also fits: Sunrise Avenue will herald their farewell to Munich on Wednesday evening (September 14, 2022) under a huge, glowing heart with the last single they did together, which also gave the tour its name.

"Thank you for everything".

In Munich, the city that singer Samu Haber is not only connected to because of his love for Bavarian cars, it is a farewell in installments.

The five Finns play two concerts.

On Thursday, September 15, 2022, Haber and his bandmates Raul Ruutu, Sami Osala, Riku Rajamaa and Osmo ikonen will once again be together on the stage of the Olympiahalle.

Sunrise Avenue already wanted to go on a farewell tour in 2020

It's also a bittersweet night for the band and fans alike.

Some might have hoped that Finland's most successful pop-rock export might have changed their minds about the enforced pandemic hiatus with the demise of the band.

Originally they wanted to say goodbye to the fans with a tour in summer 2020.

And then had to wait two years before they could say goodbye together.

Samu Haber: "Servus, Olympiahalle!"

“Servus, Olympiahalle!” shouts Haber, a heartthrob in a sleeveless plaid shirt, to the audience in the sold-out hall as he begins to briefly greet.

The audience experiences good-humored Finns who have given old songs like "Choose to be me" a robust rock touch that goes wonderfully with Samu Haber's sonorous voice.

They clothe "Forever Yours" in a completely new, opulent soundscape, let the fans sing "Heartbreak Century" in unison and celebrate every song to the last bar.

In addition, they bring a visually strong show to the big stage, which extends into the arena.

Sunrise Avenue: a worthy farewell

There may also be a large portion of melancholy, but the fans decide to really celebrate their band again instead of moping.

The first part of the Munich farewell turns into a big celebration party, which will continue on Thursday, September 15, 2022 (remaining tickets at the box office).

The five Finns have prepared a worthy farewell for themselves and their audience.

All that remains is to say thank you: Thank you for everything, Sunrise Avenue!
