Succulents are very popular and easy to care for because they can store water and therefore do not need to be watered often.

Cacti differ from succulents in that they don't store water in their leaves (they usually don't have them) but in their trunk.

This is due to the fact that both cacti and succulents come from regions where drought and extreme heat prevail.

The following applies to most of the plants in the photo series: If you keep them as houseplants, they should get as much sun as possible.
