(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 15 - The car in which Volodymyr Zelensky was traveling was involved in a traffic accident in Kiev, but the Ukrainian president was not seriously injured.
Presidential spokesman Serhii Nykyforov announced this.
Nykyforov explained that Zelensky's car collided with a private vehicle, but did not specify when the accident occurred.
"The president was visited by a doctor: no serious injuries were reported", said the spokesman, adding that "the circumstances of the incident will be ascertained by the police".
"The doctors accompanying the head of state rescued the driver of the private car and put him in an ambulance," Nykyforov finally said.
A few minutes after the statement by Zelensky's spokesman, the Ukrainian president's office released the video of the evening speech that the leader gives every day.
