Gallusviertel: dispute between two men escalated (symbol image)

A man was stabbed to death on the street in the Gallusviertel in Frankfurt am Main.
A 41-year-old woman was also injured in the attack on Thursday evening, the police said on Friday.
The victim, who died after being stabbed several times, was a 44-year-old man.
He sat on a scooter and talked to the 41-year-old.
A 42-year-old was added, he was the woman's partner.
The two men then started arguing.
According to previous investigations, the 42-year-old is said to have brought the 44-year-old to the ground and stabbed him several times.
In an attempt to prevent this, the woman was seriously injured in the arm.
She is said to have left the crime scene afterwards.
Shortly after the attack, the 42-year-old was arrested as a suspect.
The victim died in the ambulance.
The injured woman is being treated at the hospital.
The investigations continued.
