Franziska Brandmann: "Ensure digital teaching"

The federal chairwoman of the Young Liberals Franziska Brandmann criticizes the federal states for their lack of preparation of the schools for the Corona autumn.
"We have to talk about how we can also ensure digital lessons for the children who are sick and have to stay at home," said the 28-year-old in an interview with SPIEGEL.
»I would have liked the countries to use the summer to develop concepts for this.
That didn't happen."
The issue of hygiene has also largely fallen behind, Brandmann said.
Some schools don't even have soap to wash hands with.
“Instead, we're talking about turning down the heat in schools to conserve energy.
That makes me angry."
On the question of how schools should deal with the looming energy crisis, the July Chair said: »The school should be the last place where the heating is turned off.«
Franziska Brandmann grew up in the Lower Rhine area and is doing her doctorate in political science at the University of Oxford.
At the federal congress last November, the Young Liberals elected her with 92 percent as their leader.
