(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, SEPTEMBER 16 - On the energy question, the Commission's proposal "is a beginning, but much still needs to be done, more is needed".
This was stated by the president of the EU Council Charles Michel in an interview with a group of European media, including ANSA.
For Michel there are three aids which the EU must move: "the reduction of consumption, supplies, prices".
And, the president of the EU Council underlined, if on the one hand the energy issue is the responsibility of the member states, on the other hand "greater cooperation" between EU countries is needed.
"Crises are a good time to create European sovereignty," he explained.
