The facsimiles of the ballot papers that will be used for the political elections of 25 September were circulated by the central directorate for the Electoral Services of the Interior Ministry.
They concern, according to the ministry website, the 146 single-member colleges for the election of the Chamber of Deputies, the 67 single-member colleges for the election of the Senate of the Republic and the related multi-member colleges (49 for the Chamber, 26 for the Senate) for the proportional allocation of seats.
For the Chamber, the number of deputies to be elected is 400, of which 8 elected in the foreign constituency.
3/8 of the seats (146 seats) are assigned in single-member constituencies, with a majority formula, in which the most voted candidate is proclaimed elected.
With the exception of that of the Val d'Aosta which is constituted in a single single-member constituency, the remaining 245 seats are allocated with a proportional method at the national level in 49 multi-member constituencies.
For the Senate, the number of senators to be elected is 200, of which 4 in the foreign constituency.
3/8 of the seats (67 seats) are assigned in single-member constituencies, with a majority formula, in which the most voted candidate is proclaimed elected.
Without prejudice to the single-member constituencies of the regions that elect a single senator (Valle d'Aosta) and those of Trentino-Alto Adige (which elects 6 senators with a single-member system only), the remaining 122 seats are assigned, in each region, within the of 26 multi-member constituencies, with the proportional method of integer quotients and the largest remainders, among the lists and coalitions of lists that have exceeded the threshold.
