(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 16 - Italian exports in July 2022 mark a new historical record, at 57.8 billion euros in current values, driven by inflation.
Istat has never recorded a higher figure in the historical series, which start from 1991. The previous maximum had been reached two months earlier, in May 2022, and was 56.5 billion.
The strong growth in foreign sales in value (+ 18% compared to July 2021, in the ninth consecutive two-digit increase), is however accompanied by a decrease in volume of 4%.
Over the first 7 months of 2022, the result is a growth in value of 21.8% and an increase in volume limited to 0.9%.
