(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 16 - Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov calls for mobilization and invites every Russian region to provide a battalion of "at least 1,000 volunteers".
"Russia is a federal state in which any region can take initiatives and one of these should be self-mobilization," Kadyrov wrote on Telegram.
"There is no need to wait for the Cremlin to declare martial law or the end of the special operation in Ukraine, every regional leader is able to train and hire at least a thousand volunteers. We could have an army of 85 thousand men."
