At the moment, 7 flood victims have been identified in the Marche region, of which two are women.
Five died in Ostra:
Fernando Olivi
, 84, who drowned in his home,
Giuseppe Tisba
and his son
Andrea
, 65 and 25, who had gone down to the garage to take the car, and
Diego Chiappetti
, 52, he too drowned in a garage.
The fifth victim is a 42-year-old Italian citizen of Moroccan origin,
Mohamed Enaji
.
Erina Febi
, 77, died in Ostra Vetere
: she drowned inside her home.
The latest victim currently identified is
Maria Luisa Sereni
, in her eighties, who died in Trecastelli after drowning herself in a garage.
Among the nine confirmed victims, there are two still to be identified.
It is a man overwhelmed by water inside his car in the hamlet of Bettolelle, in Senigallia, which should be the 89-year-old
Gino Petrolati
, and a girl, who could be the seventeen-year-old missing: on the list in possession of the forces order and rescuers is referred to as Luisa Bartolucci while the mayor of Barbara, Riccardo Pasqualini, spoke of a 17-year-old named Noemi Bartolucci.
The official press release of the prefecture also speaks of a total of 4 missing but, it is added, some of these "could be among the subjects in the process of being identified".
Therefore, if the two names in the process of identification were to be confirmed,
Brunella Chiù,
56-year-old mother of
Luisa Bartolucci,
and
Mattia
, the 8-year-old child who was snatched from the water from the arms of his mother, the pharmacist Silvia Mereu , would be missing.
.
Finally, in the lists of police forces and rescuers, a twelfth name is indicated: it is an 84-year-old from Apiro, in the province of Macerata who, however, would have died of natural causes.
Further checks are underway.
