Queuing at the British Parliament: tens of thousands of people are waiting for many hours these days to say goodbye to the Queen's coffin.
For Joan and Pauline, two sisters from Southport in north-west England, mourning the passing of the monarch turned into a very emotional experience.
Pauline, mourners
“Our husbands are both dead, and we both have their ashes with us. Yes, we took them with us. You travel wherever we go. His ashes are in here.”

'He loved the royal family and when they visited Liverpool he was a security officer so he just loved them.'
Joan, mourners
»My husband was a paramedic for over 30 years and I was also in the paramedic. Yes, it was a service to the Crown."
Joan, mourners
'I never saw the queen. She is the last and only queen we have ever known. So it's a great honor to come here and visit the coffin. We just had to do it.«

'She was a lovely person. She was the head of the country, more than any politician. And she had the right moral values and always led by example.«
The queue on Friday morning is around eight kilometers long.
In between, access had to be temporarily closed due to the large crowds.

“It was very solemn, very moving, the silence and the coffin.
I'd like to go back in and take it all in, because it's too much to process."
