(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 17 - The head of the Civil Protection Department, Fabrizio Curcio, has signed the ordinance governing the first urgent interventions as a result of the exceptional weather events that have affected, in recent days, some territories of the provinces of Ancona and Pesaro-Urbino .
The ordinance, among other measures, appoints the president of the Marche Region, Francesco Acquaroli, as delegated commissioner and provides for measures to guarantee the assistance of the population.
"We have hundreds of men and women from the civil protection voluntary service and operational structures working on the territory - said Curcio - but in difficult moments like these it is also important to quickly give the territory a regulatory framework of reference. The Council of Ministers yesterday decreed the state of emergency and as a Department we have worked tirelessly to close this first ordinance already today which, in addition to appointing the commissioner delegate, allows the disbursement of the autonomous accommodation contribution, to those citizens whose home has suffered damage or has been vacated, and the first interventions necessary for the insecurity of the territory ".
