(ANSA) - ROME, 17 SEPTEMBER - "Leave the ground floor and go up to the upper floors, do not stay under plants or unsafe buildings and if you can stay at home": this is the invitation, in the form of an ordinance, that the mayor has issued a few hours ago diSenigallia, Massimo Olivetti, to his population due to the yellow alert issued by the Civil Protection on the frontemaltempo.
"The rain and the strong wind - he explained to ANSA from the halls of the Municipal Operations Center - leads us to the utmost prudence, so much so that we have deemed it appropriate to also close some roads, both in the center and the Adriatic and provincial Arciviese road".
The ordinance also involved the commercial centers of the flooded areas: this afternoon they will remain closed.
"What happened on Thursday evening, but also in 2014 - added Olivetti - must suggest that we always take the necessary precautions and take nothing for granted".
The mayor recalls that at the moment the displaced people, after the flood wave two days ago, are 150. "Fortunately we were ready to trigger all the necessary alerts, thus warning the population that, in this way, it was not taken aback" ,
concluded the mayor.
