Johannes Wimmer: Now moderates the NDR "talk show"

Whether in the program "Visite" or on the YouTube channel "NDR Gesund": The television doctor Johannes Wimmer, 39, can often be seen in the medical programs of the North German Radio.
Now that's suddenly over: As the "Hamburger Abendblatt" and the industry portal "Übermedien" report, each citing NDR, the collaboration with the moderator in the "Medicine/Health" section was terminated because of a "conflict of interest" with regard to there could be another activity.

The reason for examining the activities of the freelancer was a possible further engagement in other ARD formats.
In view of numerous ARD scandals, which include conflicts of interest and allegations of corruption, the NDR is currently paying particular attention to possible connections in the activities of its freelance and permanent employees.
At the NDR, the director of the state broadcasting center in Hamburg, Sabine Rossbach, was recently noticed because of allegations of nepotism.
She retired from her post, and there are no plans to return to this role.
In the state radio station in Kiel, on the other hand, there is a dispute about alleged political filters and influence.
In the case of TV doctor Wimmer, the NDR reported according to the "Abendblatt" that "another cooperation" had become known during the examination, "which could mean a conflict of interest in the field of medicine/health".
That's why Wimmer and the broadcaster "mutually decided to end the cooperation in the field of medicine/health".
In addition to being a TV star, Wimmer is also repeatedly booked as an advertising figure in the healthcare industry.
Instead, they want to focus on entertainment formats in the cooperation.
Wimmer is now moderating the NDR “talk show” alongside Bettina Tietjen.
He replaces Jörg Pilawa.
