“Like so many, we thought you'd be here forever.
And we miss you terribly.« With these emotional words, the Queen's granddaughters Beatrice and Eugenie said goodbye to their deceased grandmother.
In a joint letter, Prince Andrew's daughters wrote to their "dearest granny".
"You were our matriarch, our leader, the loving hand on our back that guided us through this world," the princesses emphasized.
"You taught us so much, and we will treasure those lessons and memories forever."
The sisters thanked the Queen.
She made them laugh, tied them up, picked berries with them.
»Bye dear grandma, it was the honor of our lives to be your granddaughters and we are so proud of you.
We know that dear Uncle Charles, the king, will follow your example and has also committed his life to the service,” stressed 34-year-old Beatrice and her sister Eugenie, who was two years younger, and ended with the words: “God bless him King."
Along with the rest of the Queen's grandchildren, the princesses planned to hold a 15-minute vigil at the Queen's coffin on Saturday night.
