Lega leader Matteo Salvini, at the request of a journalist from the Hyenas in Milan, declined the offer to sing 'Bella Ciao' and sang a few lines from the 'Legend of the Piave' in front of the militants.
"If you want I can sing Vasco's 'Free Freedom' or Gaber's 'Freedom and Participation' - explained Salvini - Sing it 'Bella Ciao'. Long live those who gave their lives for freedom, I don't like those who exploit".
In relation to the controversy surrounding Laura Pausini's refusal to sing 'Bella Ciao' during a Spanish TV broadcast, Salvini concluded: "Long live the music without colors, long live Pausini".
