Italy beat Sweden 2-1 on the third day of group A of the Davis Cup, underway in Bologna, with the decisive point won in the double after the victory of Matteo Berrettini and the defeat suffered by Jannik Sinner.
The couple formed by Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini defeated 2-0 (7-6, 6-2) the Swedish one made up of Andre Goransson and Dragos Nicolae Madaras, who replaced in extremis the brothers Elias and Mikael Ymer, returning from the singles.
Italy obtained three victories in Bologna, overtaking Croatia, Argentina and Sweden in order, dominating group A before Croatia, in turn promoted to the Malaga Finals.
