The interns' organization "Mersham" threatens to petition the High Court if the Minister of Finance does not transfer 66 million shekels and 180 standards intended to shorten the duty hours of interns in hospitals, the object of the fight they have been conducting.

The organization states that this is a warning letter before legal proceedings are taken.
As I recall, almost a week ago, the Prime Minister announced that preparations for the reduction could be started immediately, and the Ministry of Finance opposes this and does not transfer the budget to the hospitals.
In the warning letter, the registry states that in recent days the Director General of the Prime Minister's Office instructed to transfer the budget "in its entirety without further delay" to the Ministry of Health.

"It is clear that time and time again the Ministry of Finance works to violate its obligations and does not implement budgetary aspects that it itself approved," the interns wrote to the Minister of Finance.
"The Ministry of Finance is the only one among the government ministries that acts in an unreasonable manner while thwarting the implementation of a binding permit that was signed with authority and law."
The organization also warned that "damage is caused to the entire health system, to the specialized doctors and to the public in general."
Earlier today, the Minister of Health came out against the Ministry of Finance in the discussion of the committee for the expansion of the medicine basket for 2023: "They managed to stick a little, but the shortening of shifts will happen, you will not be able to prevent it."
