Inventions, business ideas and start-ups are given the opportunity to convince investors and win a deal on the VOX program "Die Höhle der Löwen" (DHDL).

In the twelfth season, Ralf Dümmel, Dagmar Wöhrl, Carsten Maschmeyer, Judith Williams, Georg Kofler, Nils Glagau, Nico Rosberg and Diana zur Löwen are on the jury.

If the candidates succeed in convincing the so-called lions and lionesses, they receive money – in return, the investors receive shares in the company.

"The Lion's Den": Flasher

"Flasher started with the realization that e-scooters need a way to safely indicate a turn," the company says on its website.

In 2019, the idea became a concrete concept that was funded by Science Park Graz and supported by aws Creative Impact.

Now founders Alexander Rech and founder Ines Wöckl are looking for the support of "Die Höhle der Löwen" in order to help shape the future even more sustainably and safely in road traffic.

"The Den of the Lions": NAGOS

According to their own statements, the game behind NAGOS is to catch snacks at the same time.

The question quickly arose: Why isn't there something that can be snacked on by both dogs and humans alike?

Sustainability is particularly important to the company, which is why the food comes from the region and is free of animal products.

In the fourth episode of the twelfth season "The Lion's Den", the founder of NAGOS, Moritz Röschl, presents the product together with his dog Benni.

"The Lion's Den": GURU Granola

“My wish – my task in this life is to bring love and joie de vivre into the world.

To remind people and beings that they are nothing but love,” writes GURU Granola founder Lara Schäffer on the company’s website.

My wish - my task in this life is to bring love and joie de vivre into the world.

To remind people and beings that they are nothing but love.

Lara Schäffer, founder of GURU Granola

According to Schäffer, "guru" means something like "from shadow to light" and is also used as a synonym for "teacher: in life".

With the Ayurvedic granola - a natural crunchy topping - dishes such as yoghurt or porridge can be refined in a healthy and sustainable way.

"The Lion's Den": Hyrise Academy

With the help of the online academy Hyrise Academy, career changers can be hired by tech companies and trained as sales employees in an online training program.

The two founders Dominic Blank and Michael Land want to score points with the educational model of the future at "Die Höhle der Löwen".
