Ice cream recall is being expanded: customers in Germany are affected – the manufacturer is withdrawing 14 varieties from the market

A manufacturer had already recalled numerous types of ice cream in the summer, and the recall is now being expanded.
All products were apparently sold throughout Germany.
Munich – The US food company General Mills had already recalled dozens of Häagen-Dazs ice cream products with vanilla flavors in the summer, and the recall is now being expanded again.
It cannot be ruled out that there are traces of 2-chloroethanol (2CE) in the products.

As the company now explains in a statement, General Mills has "proactively" declared that it will "voluntarily recall" numerous other products.
"Following investigation, it is found that the origin of the non-compliance is due to a single supplier and is limited to specific expiration dates, which are identified in the list below," the company continued.
Manufacturers had already recalled numerous varieties in the summer
According to the manufacturer, 2-chloroethanol can be linked to the presence of ethylene oxide, which could cause cancer.
General Mills had already recalled the
vanilla (95 and 460 ml) and Classic Collection
(380 ml) ice cream flavors in mid-July.
It affected all use-by dates up to and including May 21, 2023.
Shortly thereafter, the group extended the recall to the following products:
Belgian Chocolate, Macadamia Nut Brittle, Cookies & Cream, Vanilla Caramel Brownie (all 95 and 460 ml capacity), Pralines & Cream (460 ml) and Duo Belgian Chocolate & Strawberry, Duo Vanilla Bownie & Raspberry and Duo Vanilla Hazelnut & Caramel (all 420ml capacity)

All ice cream flavors have best before dates from 03/16/2023 to 04/29/2023.
As General Mills now explains in a statement, the current recall for Germany applies to these products:

Classic Collection 380ml

For the products "Vanilla 460ml", "Vanilla 95ml" and "Classic Collection 380ml", the products with an expiry date up to and including May 21, 2023 are affected.
Customers who bought one of the affected ice cream flavors can return the pack to the retailer, according to the information.
The purchase price will be refunded to them there.
