A strange symbol spotted on the bottom of Meghan Markle's shoe as she paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II at the Palace of Westminster has left royal fans confused.

Meghan Markle is considered a fashion icon worldwide thanks to her rare real style.

Joining her royal family to pay their respects in front of her coffin, the Duchess of Sussex appeared dressed in black, including a pair of elegant heels.

As she walked towards Her Majesty's coffin, fans noticed a strange symbol on the sole of her shoe, consisting of three straight lines and one curved one, all overlapping.

The viewers were quick to wonder what the symbol means?

Some speculated that it could be a personal tribute to her husband's late grandmother, others wondered if it was a subversive message that only savvy commentators would be able to pick up on - of course there were also those who believed that it was just a personal addition to the high-end heels.

The classic shoes are made by Paul Andrew, a luxury fashion designer who designs his handmade Italian shoes in New York.

The designer's name is the inspiration for the letters "P" and "A" which a combination of them appears on the sole of Megan's shoes.

Fashionistas speculate that Meghan wore her Pump It Up heels due to the similarity to the shoes she arrived at the royal engagement event in Ireland, before she and Harry left the royal family.

Meghan also wore a pair of pearl and diamond earrings gifted to her by Her Majesty before their first engagement session in 2018.

The spectacular jewels were almost identical to those the Queen then wore for the occasion.
