Juliette Binoche: we must say "no" to the roles of female objects to put an end to "macho codes"

Honored with the Donostia Prize at the San Sebastián Film Festival, the 58-year-old actress says she refuses films in which she is someone's wife.


Actresses must learn to say "no" to roles that turn women into objects, Oscar-winning French actress Juliette Binoche said Sunday at the San Sebastian film festival where she was presented with an award for her acting career.

Last year's awards went to French actress Marion Cotillard and Hollywood star Johnny Depp.
