A case of twins born from different fathers was discovered (Bedaka story)
A woman resident of the small town of Mineiros in Goiás, Brazil, gave birth to twins from two different fathers.
According to local media, the 19-year-old had sex with two men a few hours apart and became pregnant by both of them.
This is only the 20th case ever recorded in the world of Heteropaternal Superfecundation, the scientific term for pregnancy from two different fathers.
In this case both potential fathers came out positive in their DNA tests for the different babies.
The new mother, who preferred not to be identified, took a DNA test on the man she believed to be the biological father of her two sons when they were eight months old.
To her surprise, the result came back positive only after construction.
At first she thought it was a mistake, but finally realized that the other son was not his.
She said: "I remembered that I had sex with another man that day and called him to have him take the test too, which came out positive. I was surprised by the results. I didn't know this could happen and the babies are very similar."

The birth certificate still lists only one of the men as the father of the two children.
The mother explained: "He takes care of both of them, helps me a lot and gives them all the necessary support."
Dr. Tulio Jorge Franco investigated the unusual case of pregnancy, which is only the 20th known case of hetero-parenthood. He explained to the Portuguese network G1 that such a pregnancy occurs when "two eggs from the same mother are fertilized by different men.
The babies share the mother's genetic material, but they grow in different placentas." He added: "The pregnancy went super smooth, without any complications.
The boys were born healthy and never had any health problems.
It is extremely rare.
It happens one in a million.
I never imagined that I would see such a case in my life."
The doctor made the decision to reveal the story this month, when the twins are already one year and four months old.
