As the manager of Beyond Meat, Doug R. is well versed in alternatives to meat. In an argument after a football game, the 53-year-old is said to have bitten into completely non-vegetarian tissue.

A small bump in the parking garage after the football game in the US state of Arkansas has developed into a serious dispute between the drivers involved.

Among them was an executive from Beyond Meat, a company known for its vegan foods.

But in the dispute, Doug R. apparently did not leave it meatless.

He is accused of biting a man's nose after a game.

He has now been charged with aggravated assault and terrorist threat, authorities said.

A police report on Saturday's incident said the 53-year-old from Fayetteville attacked another man who was trying to avoid him in a parking garage lane and struck R's SUV with a wheel of his car.

Break the rear window of the other car

A police officer who responded to the reported disturbance found "two men with bloodied faces" upon arrival, the report said.

Specifically, he is said to have torn off the flesh on the tip of his nose, as reported by the broadcaster CNBC.

The company Beyond Meat, which is currently in a serious crisis, has not yet responded to inquiries according to media reports.

After speaking to the two men and a witness, the police officer noted more signs of a struggle.

The investigator assumes that R. got out of his SUV and apparently smashed through the rear window of the other car.

The driver of the other vehicle also said that he got out of his car and that R. "pulled him close and started hitting his body".

The man and the witness also reported that R. threatened to kill the man.

It is unclear how the dispute could escalate.

The home team won the game between the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Missouri State Bears in Fayetteville.
