(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 20 - "The EU strongly condemns illegal ireferendums planned by the pro-Russian" specifying that "they go against the legal and democratically elected Ukrainian authorities, violate the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and constitute a blatant violation of international law ".
This was stated by EU High Representative Josep Borrell, announcing that "Russia, its political leaders and all those involved in these referendums in other violations of international law in Ukraine will be held responsible and further restrictive measures against Moscow will be considered".
